The **Fluid Pipe** is the most basic component of fluid logistics in Create. It is used to transport fluids between fluid inventories. A fluid pipe can place and remove fluid source blocks in the block space adjacent to an open end.
## Obtaining
Fluid Pipes can be created through the following methods:

| Recipe | Input | Output |

## Usage
### Fluid Transport
A [[Mechanical Pump]] can be used to move fluids through connected fluid pipes for a distance of up to fifteen blocks. The direction and speed the fluids will move depends on the direction and speed of the mechanical pump. Fluid pipes can insert into or extract from fluid inventories, namely [Basins](Basin), [Fluid Tanks](Fluid-Tank), [Item Drains](Item-Drain), [Portable Fluid Interfaces](Portable-Fluid-Interface) (when contraptions are connected), and [Spouts](Spout).
Right-clicking a straight segment of fluid pipe with a [[Wrench]] changes the texture to glass, allowing fluids inside to be visible. Additionally, this prevents the pipe from forming a junction in three or more directions, as glass pipes cannot turn corners.
The fluids a pipe can move include water, lava, honey, chocolate, milk, and all types of potions, splash potions, and lingering potions.
### Fluid Placement and Removal
If a pipe has an open end and is connected to a powered mechanical pump, it can place and remove some fluids in the block space directly adjacent to the open end, similarly to a bucket. This only applies to fluids that exist as source blocks, namely water, lava, honey, and chocolate.
