In order to actually use aadbus, you need to tell auditd to use it as a dispatcher.  It's simple:

* As root, edit /etc/auditd.conf

* Add the following line (using the correct path, of course):
	dispatcher=/usr/local/bin/apparmor-dbus

* Restart auditd
