Stress capacity: 16 SU per RPM (as generator)
Power connection: Shaft, front and back

The Waterwheel is a generator that provides rotational force based on the behaviour of adjacent water.

Obtaining

Waterwheels can be created through the following methods:

Recipe Input Output
Crafting:
1 Large Cogwheel
8 Wooden Slabs (any type)
1 Waterwheel

Usage

Waterwheels generate rotational force at 16 SU/RPM, with a speed dependent on how many of the wheel's four sides are adjacent to flowing water or bubble columns. The wheel's base speed is 4 RPM. Each side adjacent to flowing water or a bubble column will add 4 RPM if the flow is with the wheel's blades, and 2 RPM if the flow is against the wheel's blades. However, if the wheel has some rotation with the blades and some against the blades, the two will work against each other, and the wheel may stall.
